There are many things to see and do in the County, with each
season offering a different experience. In the spring, blooming trilliums
blanket parts of Sandbanks Provincial Park near Edge of East Lake Cottages -
truly a sight to behold. It makes it easy to understand why the trillium is
Ontario's provincial flower. In summer, the sunsets over Lake Ontario are
spectacular, so much so that the beaches at Sandbanks fill with onlookers each
evening as the sun begins to set. In the autumn, fall colours abound, with
shades of red, yellow and orange in every direction. The winter wonderland
brings visitors out, including cross country skiers, to enjoy the solitary and
tranquil woods.
